**About the opportunity**

At Woolworths, we believe in putting our customers and team first. The Risk Lead role sits within ‘Partnering’ in the Group Risk Platform.

The Risk Partner role will contribute to the delivery of the Group Risk ambition to Guide Finance and Sustainability teams to make risk-informed choices with confidence and help them focus on what matters most.

They will do this through the business unit partnering mission to shape BU/platform decisions to achieve commercial outcomes in line with risk appetite, leveraging Group tools and frameworks.

This role partners with business leaders within Finance and Sustainability to understand risks and opportunities and provide them with reliable risk insight to drive value generating decisions. Point of contact for the business, the window into risk. A large proportion of capacity will be spent partnering, and the balance of capacity will be delivering scalable solutions and services in the tribe.

**What you’ll do**

Reporting to the General Manager - Group Platforms Risk, you will:

- Partner with our Finance and Sustainability teams on all things risk management.
- Build positive working relationships with key stakeholders and participate in the design and implementation of strategies to enhance risk-informed decision-making and promote a positive risk culture.
- Drive shifting behaviours and mindsets to build risk management capability within the business,enabling the achievement of objectives within risk appetite.
- Support the business in understanding and articulating why material risks are within or outside of risk appetite, and contribute to the development and implementation of plans to address out-of-appetite risks.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities, and support the development of strategies to address them, collaborating with other teams as needed.
- Partner with business leaders in strategic planning activities, contributing to the integration of risk management considerations.
- Participate in providing coaching, facilitation and challenge on business strategies and objectives,Collaborate with both Risk Platform and broader stakeholders to support the shaping of strategic priorities for the Finance and Sustainability business areas.
