We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality and Clinical Governance Manager to join our team and support our commitment to excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management and clinical governance frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical practices, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Lead and facilitate internal audits, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans.
- Accreditation support and assistance to all sites and services.
- Collaborate with department heads and staff to promote a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and person-centered care.
- Oversees Compliance and Improvement Action plans, Quality Management System changes and the adherence to the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Stay ahead of industry developments, changes in regulations, and emerging best practices to ensure Lifer Care remains at the forefront of quality aged care.
- Lead a team of Quality Support Officers.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, empowering staff to actively participate in quality initiatives and promoting professional development.
- Ensure effective incident management processes are in place, and lead investigations as needed, with a focus on learning and preventing future occurrences.
- Establish strong partnerships with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate reporting as required.
**What we need from you**
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (essential).
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (essential).
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desired)
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in quality management and clinical governance in aged care.
- In-depth knowledge of aged care regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive evidence-based decision-making and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to person-centered care and a passion for providing the highest level of care and support to elderly residents.
You’ll also need some more practical things:
- An ability to obtain a Police Clearance (Aged Care)
- Evidence of Covid-19 and Seasonal flu vaccinations
