About Kid Sense

Kid Sense Child Development provides Paediatric Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology services to children with delays and disabilities such as physical, language and social developmental challenges, and learning frustrations that can otherwise prevent them from functioning optimally, independently and confidently.

With 6 clinic locations across metropolitan Adelaide our expanding team of 40+ Paediatric Professionals passionately develop a brighter future for our clients, their families and their teachers. This position is based at our Unley operational headquarters, serving 5 other clinics as well as clinicians in the community.

The Role

This ideally full time dynamic role is strongly focus on assisting client support (eg invoicing and billing) as well as the management of our Appointment Schedules across multiple clinic locations. Specifically it involves:

  • Greeting and welcoming Kid Sense clients and their families / caregivers (physically and/or by phone)
  • Client Billing and associated payments for NDIS, Medicare & Private clients through HICAPS, Tyro or over the phone
  • Data entry to maintain basic accounting practices and debt management
  • Data entry to maintain compliance with NDIS and company standards
  • Client scheduling (both adhoc and establishing Annual/Group Appointment Schedules)
  • Monitoring and updating our Appointment Waitlists
  • Managing electronic communications including dedicated client communication email account
  • Supporting our clinicians in the delivery of their clinical services by providing general administrative support and assisting them to fill their individual schedules
  • Support our clients by utilising well established systems and procedures to support operational efficiency
  • Opening and closing the clinic on a rotating basis
  • End of day banking balancing and reporting
  • Some (minimal) Debt Collection (current only)
  • Contribute to our Kid Sense value of C.A.N.I – continuous and never-ending improvement

Skills and Experience

  • Proven Receptionist/Administration background with a minimum of 2 years previous experience managing a busy front of house Allied Health or Medical Centre environment.
  • Experience with EFTPOS and HICAPS. Tyro experience desirable, but not essential.
  • A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience in using 'PracSuite' Practice Management software system (or similar Medical Software)
  • Good working knowledge of the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) and Medicare is desirable but not necessary
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative with tasks
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people
  • Proactive and 'Can do' attitude is crucial
