The Finance team

Our national Finance group is a professional, motivated and focused team delivering sound financial advice and flexible, practical financial and administration services to all areas of the firm.

The role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a National Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team based in Sydney on a permanent, full time basis.

Key responsibilities

Working within an experienced and supportive team, this role will see you:
- Processing American Express and employee expense claims- Review expense claims to ensure they comply with firm policy- Escalate no compliance with National Accounts Payable Team Leader- Comply with auditor requests- Monthly expense and transaction reporting- Actively analyse and ensure all expense claims are submitted by due date- Internal cross charge journals- Process invoicing and ensuring they are paid in accordance with our relevant payment terms, when required- Assist with general legal accounting and accounts payable functions as directed by the National Accounts Payable Team Leader

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounts payable or associated accounts administration role. Experience in a professional services environment is desirable but not essential.- Strong computer skills required- Intermediate Excel skills (including the ability to use advanced functions such as pivot tables, vlookups, graphs/charts etc.)-
- Intermediate use of a Client Management System (CMS) or practice management system (Aderant Expert is preferable)- Chrome River or Expense Management System experience preferred- High level of attention to detail- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
