**Your Opportunity**

Finance representative for Mission Australia nationally supporting senior management and other key stakeholders across financial matters. The role requires considerable understanding of underlying business and income and cost drivers, needs to use judgement and provide recommendations for financial decision making.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Providing financial support for Mission Australia Housing that focuses on Social and Affordable housing.
- Month end close: Ensure I&E results for the allocated streams are complete and accurate.
- Month end reporting: Analyse and explain variances at the appropriate level of detail with relation to operational drivers.
- Review and improve the financial models on a regular basis to ensure continued relevance in reporting.
- Meet with relevant management on a regular basis and be able to discuss the results, including analysis of movements from prior periods and initiatives to achieve future outcomes.
- Manage the budget and forecast process for the Housing streams in conjunction with Managers.
- Develop, manage and update a range of driver
- based models for the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Use appropriate decision support tools to assist in appraising new capital initiatives. Ensuring all financial impacts are understood including return on investment and cash-flow.
- Provide financial analytical support to the key stakeholders.
- Complete ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required by the Commercial Finance Manager and Other.

**To succeed in this position, you will have**:

- Excellent communications and stake holder management skills to be able work with Managers at all levels and Executives.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to resolve complex problems.
- Chartered Accountant, CPA or other recognised finance or business qualification.
- Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or business field.
- At least 3 years commercial and financial experience managing and delivering financial and commercial goals across diversified areas with exposure to Housing and Property.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial model and reports development.
- Experience in using Workday Adaptive Planning tool and Microsoft OPS365 financial systems is desirable.
