Structured Lending, Head of Strategy and Operations

**Summary**: Unique opportunity to join the Sydney based Structured Lending team in our Commodity and Global Markets Division. We are seeking to hire a Head of Strategy and Operations to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-growing structured financing team which operates across a variety of industries in Australia and New Zealand with medium-term ambitions to grow internationally. The team deploys the bank’s balance sheet in tailored credit and lending solutions and specialises in complex asset-secured deals and has specialities in bespoke structured lending and credit solutions including bank credit, receivables finance, private market securitisations and working capital and inventory financing solutions. Target industries include energy, utilities, transport, logistics, sustainability and telecommunications. The team has experienced significant success in several specialist financing products and has strategic objectives for rapid organic and inorganic expansion. Strong growth in the business has given rise to the opportunity for an energetic individual to join the team and hit the ground running by helping shape and implement the team’s core strategic objectives. **Description**: Located in Sydney, you will have primary responsibility for leading the implementation of Structured Lending’s strategy, deepening engagement with centralised operations and support functions, project management and managing aspects of day-to-day operations. This role is an excellent opportunity for high-performing individuals to rapidly accelerate their career progress and has substantial long-term scope for you to grow professionally alongside the growth of the business. **Your key responsibilities will include**: - Facilitating the development, and driving implementation of Structured Lending’s organic and inorganic strategic growth plan; - Engaging senior internal stakeholders and receiving, collating, and implementing feedback - Building, managing, and assisting with implementing the infrastructure of the business to facilitate accelerated growth. - Monitoring day-to-day operations of the business’s existing deal portfolio; - Overseeing team actual and projected P&L; and - Playing a key role in driving forward the team’s hiring plans. You will be a high-energy, top-ranked performer in your current role with the following experience: - At least 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services or advisory/consulting, ideally with relevant operating, major project management and strategy development experience; - Degree in finance, management, commerce or similar with high academic achievement. - Excellent commercial acumen and operating risk awareness - Excellent project management skills - Excellent communication and a proven track record of stakeholder-influencing skills - Experience interpreting, reviewing and challenging business financial reporting - Demonstrated experience managing and delivering complex major projects with multiple stakeholders; and - Proven personal drive balanced with attention to detail.
