At **Drug Policy Australia**, we pride ourselves on championing change ethically and passionately and reach out to supporters through our team of professional fundraisers.

We seek an experienced fundraising professional with at least 6 months of fundraising or consumer sales experience. If you are currently leading a team, there is an immediate opportunity to lead by example and motivate your own team of fundraisers in less than 3 months.

In the first instance, the applicant will be expected to canvas monthly donations via face-to-face street collections and/or by phone from our qualified supporter database. In the longer term, you will establish your own team of F2F street-based fundraisers.

Although you are motivated by making the world a better place, you are a self-confident self-starter who enjoys being rewarded based on results. You know, hard work and earning a good income go together. As charity worker with us you’ll eligible for a $18,550 salary sacrifice which means you’ll pay about $5000 less tax than doing the same job working for a marketing company.

**To be considered, you must have**:

- At least **6 months experience**in **sales and/or face-to-face** fundraising
- Excellent English verbal communication skills.
- Confidence and motivation to succeed
- Expect to be rewarded for hard work
- Strong belief in our cause. If you do not believe, neither will others.
- Passion about making a difference to an issue that affects millions of young Australians

To be considered for this job, you **must**have previous **experience**in face-to-face fundraising or have a proven successful track record in a related sales field.

**About Drug Policy Australia**

Drug Policy Australia is a registered tax-deductible Charity advocating for new approaches and policies to improve public health relating to the use of all forms of psychoactive drugs in Australia.

We believe that Australia should adopt a decriminalised but regulated framework for the possession and personal use of all drugs, based on Portugal's highly successful drug law reform of 2001 (commonly referred to as “The Portugal Model”). This is a proven alternative to the current "war on drugs" approach and involves the decriminalisation of drug use, but with mandatory to drug treatment for problematic users.

The position reports to the National Advocacy and Fundraising Manager.

Renumeration: $80,000 to 110,000 + On target $30,000 bonus

Salary Sacrifice Benefit: As a charity worker with us you’ll eligible for a $18,550 salary sacrifice which means you’ll pay about $5000 less tax than doing the same job working for a marketing company.

This new role reports to the National Advocacy and Fundraising Manager, expanding on our existing monthly donation program. After meeting a minimum budget of $50/day, the person will hire and train other fundraisers to create their own team.
