About the role
This role within our Marketing, Communications & Fundraising team is high energy and high impact The Fundraising & Events Lead will deliver on our plan to grow income, increase brand awareness, and create and maintain valuable relationships for Kids First Australia.
Established in 1896, Kids First is one of Australia’s oldest independent child and family service organizations and charities. Our team are experts in early years education, child wellbeing and therapeutic recovery from family violence and trauma. We are committed to all kids having the bright futures they deserve.
A typical day might see you:
- Planning community events, fundraising and campaigns
- Supporting exceptional customer experiences through our Op shop
- Nurturing relationships with our regular donors, supporters, kindergarten families and corporate partners.
We can’t say that any two days will be the same. What we can say is you will have the opportunity to make your mark in this role for 12 months, while being supported by your colleagues every step of the way.
About you
We are looking for someone who goes that extra step in building and maintaining relationships, as well as embracing variety and managing competing deadlines. You may have qualifications in marketing, business, PR or a similar field, and/or your background may be in marketing or events, fundraising or even retail.
These skills and experience will set you up for success:
- Demonstrated success in developing successful fundraising campaigns, events or marketing campaigns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with sound writing skills
- Skilled at building and maintaining relationships
- Experience in database management
- Current driver’s license
