**Your new company**
The Department of Treasury and Finance is the lead agency for economic, social and financial policy outcomes. They play a vital role in providing financial services to the community and economic and fiscal policy advice to the Government of South Australia.

They conduct research, analyse information, give advice, contribute to government policy and decision making and support the Treasurer in producing the State Budget.

They provide corporate and business services in the areas of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial services so that all South Australian government departments can focus on their core business operations.

**Your new role**
The Manager, Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for leading strategic and innovative engagement, communication, and digital engagement across a variety of channels to increase the profile of the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), promote the work of DTF to the community and achieve business objectives. The role is responsible for managing the communication team and strategic work programs for the agency.

You will have demonstrated ability in effective communication and negotiation, both verbally and in writing, at ministerial, executive, and senior management level and to a wide range of other key stakeholders. You will have extensive experience in managing and leading a communications and engagement team in a public sector or corporate setting.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Extensive experience in managing and leading a communications and engagement team in a public sector or corporate setting.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating large, complex and/or sensitive communication and engagement projects that deliver agreed outcomes.
- Experience in communications, engagement, media marketing and network building at a senior level.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic communication and engagement frameworks, tools and guidelines.
- Significant experience leading the strategic planning delivery and evaluation of complex communications and digital engagement programs, projects and services including digital community management, strategic social media platform development, publishing, and digital content production to achieve high impact outcomes.
- Significant experience leading and managing a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of administration programs, functions and services and promoting a team commitment to service excellence and the achievement of service delivery standards.
- Significant experience in utilising a range of desktop publishing software, website content management systems, and reading and writing HTML, to produce high quality graphic design, communications materials, reports and submissions that communicate with language, tone and format to suit intended audiences.
