**The Opportunity**
We have an opportunity for a Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Lead to be part of our Industry Strategy and Partnerships Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Lead is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of effective stakeholder engagement strategies that value and involve stakeholders to positively contribute to optimised outcomes. The role has a particular focus on legislative reform and will report to the Director, Communications.
As a skilled, experienced professional, the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Lead identifies engagement and consultation requirements in collaboration with business areas and leads the provision of action, advice and direction for engagement and consultation activities, for often complex and sensitive matters, to ensure awareness, understanding and meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
With political acumen and a sound knowledge of the department and State Government’s strategic engagement framework, principles and practices, the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Lead can quickly identify appropriate engagement opportunities, risks, mitigations, and solutions and is responsible for managing resources and strategies where external resources are utilised.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- Opportunity up to June 2025.
- Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week.
**Requirements**:
- Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
**Remuneration**
ASO6 - $98,478 min - $104,165 max per annum, plus superannuation
