**THE OPPORTUNITY**

**Tactical Duties**:

- Triage and prioritize incoming service desk requests from software teams.
- Negotiate and manage conflicting priorities effectively.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project’s big picture to make informed decisions.
- Delegate tasks efficiently to team members.
- Leverage operations/service desk experience to enhance team performance.

**Strategic Duties**:

- Act as the product owner, representing the team in SAFe ceremonies.
- Develop a suite of developer platforms aimed at accelerating software development.
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with all stakeholders.
- Analyze the current state, define the ideal target state, and plan the transition accordingly.
- Identify patterns in work types to develop and implement automation strategies.
- Ensure all documentation and playbooks are current and continuously improved.
- Collaborate with the Cyber team to create necessary evidence and documentation for cyber assurance.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
- Generate and present reports with metrics that provide insight into the team’s operational performance.
- Conduct internal and external demonstrations of new features and improvements.

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in Linux.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools including GitLab, SonarQube, and the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence, Artifactory, or similar).
- Background in software engineering with an understanding of basic software engineering processes.
- Basic network diagnostic skills.
- Experience with identity management tools such as Active Directory and Keycloak.
- Hands-on experience with Azure (VM, VNet, subnet, ARM templates) is highly desirable.
- VMware experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
