TheirCare was founded in 2017 and since opening our doors, everything we do at TheirCare has been centred around delivering exceptional care focused on children and providing meaningful support for families. We don’t just provide Outside School Hours Care; we exist to enrich the communities we serve.

**About the role**:
At TheirCare, everything we do is grounded in our commitment to enriching communities and supporting every child to thrive. As the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll bring this vision to life by empowering our teams with the knowledge and tools to provide trauma-informed, child-first care. Key responsibilities include;
- You will design and facilitate training for staff, supported by ongoing Communities of Practice, to improve understanding of best practice approaches to trauma-informed child-centred care, positive behaviour support, and appropriate therapeutic interventions
- You will work closely with service leaders experiencing extremely challenging behaviours to implement appropriate strategies, including spending time at identified services, working collaboratively with a child’s care team etc. as required
- You will review a range of trend data to identify opportunities for improved practice and take proactive steps to update policies, processes, and procedures across the organisation to reflect the principles of positive behaviour support

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will;
- Hold a tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, behaviour analysis (e.g. as a BCBA), special education or a related field and registration with the relevant membership body (e.g. AHPRA) (essential).
- Have a current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Beneficial but not essential).
- Have demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of training, coaching, and capability building for a team working directly with children and young people.
- Have demonstrated experience supporting individuals, preferably children and young people, with developmental trauma, mental health diagnoses, and/or intellectual and psychosocial disabilities.
- Have experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring Behaviour Support Plans that are evidence-based and trauma-informed.
- Have experience working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team, including carers, educators, teachers, case workers, clinicians, and allied health professionals to deliver quality outcomes for children and young people.
- Have awareness of the Education, Early Childhood, and/or Outside School Hours Care sectors (Beneficial but not essential)
- Hold a current driver’s licence, WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening check etc.
