**The Opportunity**:
The overall purpose of the Finance Officer, Operational Accounting is to provide business stakeholders from across the University, with the necessary transactional support and advice to meet their day-to-day financial requirements.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Provide professional customer service to our internal stakeholders requiring transactional support and advice within pre-determined service standards.
- Make decisions concerning clients regarding their day-to-day transactions and other financial records management, providing accurate, up to date and comprehensive information or referral.
- Provide a range of services supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including but not limited to the creation of new suppliers/debtors, raising invoices, student payments and refunds.
- Preparation and uploading of journals and accruals with appropriate records retained for ledger integrity and month-end requirements.Working proactively as part of a team and sharing work and responsibilities with fellow Finance Officers and supporting the Financial Control function to ensure requests are addressed within appropriate deadlines.
