About the Role

We are currently seeking a degree-qualified Accountant to join our Finance Team on a permanent full-time basis. This position is based at our Head Office in West Footscray, conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from West Footscray Station, with free onsite parking available for those who drive.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for preparing statutory and internal financial reports, conducting financial analysis, and supporting strategic planning. You will play a key role in providing accurate financial insights to aid in decision-making and ensure alignment with the organisation's financial objectives.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to,

• Maintaining accurate, relevant and timely financial records.
• Prepare and distribute company reports-across Finance, Sales and Management on weekly and monthly basis.
• Assist with month end and year end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, compliance, audits and reporting within stipulated deadlines.
• Support the annual budgeting process and prepare forecast(s) for financial and operational reporting.
• Manage the stocktake process to ensure accurate collection of date and provide reports on inventory status against plan.
• Conduct reviews of financial reports and data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring a minimum of three years' experience in an accounting position, ideally within a sizable business. Prior experience reporting to an international or global company will be viewed favourably. You will hold a relevant degree in Accounting or Business-related field and demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel skills.  

Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Epicor is highly regarded. While CPA or CA qualification is desirable, we are committed to supporting the right candidate in achieving their CPA if not yet completed.

You will possess strong numeric competency, a high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A customer-focused mindset, coupled with a proactive and positive attitude, is essential.

You should be a self-starter who takes initiative and can build strong working relationships across the business.
