Empired is looking for a Power BI Technical Lead to join our growing team of passionate Data professionals in Sydney. We are looking for someone who can manage implementations of Power BI at all levels, from large enterprise deployments to smaller scale analytics projects.

**About the role**:
This role involves working with the business stakeholders to identify the required architecture, licensing, and technical considerations associated with a Power BI deployment for a large enterprise organization. It will involve producing technical documentation and providing advice that will cover the various aspects of the rollout, including but not limited to; Best practice tenancy considerations, workspace structures, data modelling advice, gateways, deployments, and the various governance principles associated with Power BI.

**Desired experience - Ideally, you will have worked in a similar role and possess some of the following skills and attributes**:

- A thorough understanding of what a best practice enterprise deployment of Power BI would look like.
- Experience with Power BI Desktop, including Power BI development practices (M/Power Query and DAX).
- Experience with the Power BI Service, including the various tenancy options available.
- Experience developing reports, apps, dashboards in Power BI.
- Proven experience in consulting, including a strong design background and people management.
- Knowledge of modern data platforms, preferably the Azure cloud and how to architect solutions of end-to-end.
- A solid technical background with proven delivery experience.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management; being able to conduct report requirement gathering workshops, document critical aspects of the requirements and articulate success criteria
- Ability to collaborate with the design specialists to determine the best data design to support the optimal Power BI reporting experience
- Desirable experience in delivering Power BI user training and Power BI health-checks
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
