**About the role**:
RPV, MTIA is seeking to engage 3 DMS officers. The DMS Officer is responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely Drawing Management System (DMS) services to internal and external stakeholders, including government organisations, rail operators, and contractors. The role ensures the quality and validity of drawings in DMS, and encompasses daily quality control, administration and processing of asset drawings and data into the system. This role will focus on quality control for RPV as-built drawings and asset data, as well as supporting validation activities for other projects where required.

You will be a qualified in a Computer Aided Design (CAD) or DMS related discipline, or similar discipline with experience working within large projects. **Key accountabilities**:

- Daily DMS transactions, bookings, and publishing are performed in accordance with standard DMS processes.
- Internal and external stakeholders are provided with accurate advice and information in accordance with DMS processes and relevant engineering standards.
- Drawing information and associated data are quality assured to ensure the accuracy of DMS.
- DMS faults and errors are reported in a timely manner to all relevant parties and are logged in accordance to DMS processes.
- Minor drawing changes are performed using Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- Configuration activities relating to the asset register, requirements management and engineering standards register, are supported.
- Development and contribution to maintenance of KPI’s for Configuration Management team inputs and outputs are supported in line with known deliverables.
- Asset information representation and sharing are supported as required within RPV and DoT.
- Ensure consistency and quality in the management of contract correspondence.

**Key selection criteria**:

- Sound computer skills, including familiarity with Database Management Systems (DBMS), CAD packages, and high level of alpha and numeric data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail including the ability to maintain accurate records of drawings and data.
- Well-developed customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all clients.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex processes to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and organise workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, identifying and proactively assisting team members to help deliver project outcomes.

**Qualifications**
- A tertiary qualification in a Computer Aided Design (CAD) or DMS related discipline, or working experience in DMS, CAD, records management or document control is mandatory.
- A tertiary qualification in construction, project management, signalling, or any relevant technical field is desirable.
