**About the Role**
**The Buying Manager role is a new addition for the Merchandise team to drive by charlotte’s competitive market edge - delivering brand reflective, commercially responsive, high-quality collections, which support customer demand in conjunction with Design. Securing range profitability through optimal sourcing and negotiation so that intake and final margin targets are met or exceeded.**
**The role is pivotal to category/assortment growth, managing the product lifecycle from concept handover to delivery, and driving continuous improvements in supply base and sell through metrics.**
**The Buying Manager will work closely with the Design, Planning, Marketing and Channels teams and directly manages the buying and production team. They will be a key business thought leader and will uphold the by charlotte brand spirit and culture in all aspects of the role.**
- **Develops and executes buying strategies through optimising product assortment and evaluates product performance data to execute the seasonal OTB across all sales channels, capitalising on growth opportunities.**:
- **Forms and applies strategies to meet margin and sell-through targets and support the fast growth of the company.**:
- **Translates insights into commercial outcomes.**:
- **Leads and coaches the junior buyer within team, to further develop product selection skills and commercial acumen.**:
- **Lead the production team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.**
**About You**
- **Minimum of 5 years of relevant buying experience, with a strong understanding of both creative and commercial processes.**:
- **Strategic, analytical, thinking with the ability to develop and execute buying strategies that align with business goals and market trends**:
- **Strong negotiation and communication skills**:
- **Proficient in assortment planning, product life cycle management and supplier relations.**:
- **Organised and detail oriented**
