**About the role**:
The Buying Manager for SurfStitch will focus on enhancing the brand with product curation, assortment, and overarching brand strategy across all categories whilst mentoring and developing a team of Buyers and/or Senior Buyers.
Reporting to the Chief Merchandise Officer, you will inspire your teams to deliver continued revenue growth while ensuring business gross profit objectives are met. You will partner with a variety of cross functional teams to ensure that your categories have a true omnichannel agenda to meet the needs of a constantly evolving customer.
**About you**:
- Developing, communicating and driving the strategic Merchandise vision for the brand across all departments (Men’s, Women's, Hardware, Footwear, Kids and accessories) taking into consideration customer data and market trends in order to maximise revenue and profit by prioritising customer needs/wants.
- Leading the Buying team by clearly and regularly communicating business wide strategy, translating it into tactical plans and processes that efficiently deliver on the strategy.
- Shaping with CMO and Group planning manager the OTB - yearly, seasonal, and monthly and trading that plan daily/weekly/monthly and quarterly.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills, particularly with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Strong analytic skills - ability to analyse reports to make sound commercial decisions.
- Proven track record of Managing budgets and OTB.
