
Aged Care Support Worker

LME Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Support Workers to join our team in Brisbane, where we strive to provide high-quality care and support to elderly individuals in our community. With over 25 years of combined experience in the disability sector, LME Care is committed to empowering older adults to lead fulfilling lives, promoting their dignity, independence, and well-being.
As an Aged Care Support Worker, your role will be vital in providing personal and emotional support to our client. You will work closely with individuals to assist them with daily living activities while fostering a warm and nurturing environment.
We believe in the importance of inclusion and a person-centered approach to care, ensuring that our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to help enhance their quality of life
- Monitor the health and well-being of clients and report any concerns to the management team
- Encourage social interaction and participation in community activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and LME Care policies at all times
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
**Requirements**:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care / Disability), or a related field
- Must be familiar with Bowel Management, Dysphagia Management and Hoisting
- Available for 24/7 roster, this includes weekdays, weekends and inactive sleepovers
- Understanding of person-centered care principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others
- Flexible availability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Current first aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and undergo a criminal record check
This is a high care role, we are looking for superstars who are able to commit 16hrs-24hrs+ a week long term.
