**About the Role**

We are seeking experienced and motivated Horticultural Crop Growers to join our team. This hands-on role involves managing all stages of crop production, from planning to harvest, with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and quality. You will oversee crop health, coordinate farm operations, and contribute to the ongoing success of our horticultural enterprise.

**Key Responsibilities**

**As a Horticultural Crop Grower, you will be responsible for**:

- Selecting and planting seeds, seedlings, cuttings, bulbs, or grafted plants to establish and propagate crops.
- Planning, organising, and coordinating horticultural production from soil preparation to harvest, considering seasonal, environmental, and market factors.
- Monitoring crops for pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, or water stress, and implementing effective pest, weed, and disease control measures.
- Maintaining crop health and productivity through cultivating, pruning, thinning, de-budding, training plants, and managing growing conditions.
- Managing irrigation and fertigation systems to optimise crop growth and yield.
- Organising and supervising post-harvest activities including grading, packaging, storage, and dispatch of horticultural produce.
- Selecting, training, and supervising workers and contractors to ensure efficient and safe production practices.
- Maintaining records of crop performance, production activities, costs, and sales to meet compliance and business management requirements.
- Managing financial and business aspects including budgeting, planning, and farm resource allocation.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- An AQF Bachelor degree or higher in Horticulture, or equivalent qualifications or relevant practical experience.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in horticultural production.
- Strong knowledge of horticultural practices and crop management techniques.
- Problem-solving ability and sound decision-making in farm operations.
- Good record-keeping, organisational, and communication skills.
