Quality Assurance and Control Coordinator
2 weeks ago
**IN A NUTSHELL**
Since we launched with a range of six wallets 13+ years ago, we now release about 50 new products a year (give or take). We're growing, and our Production team, (key to getting all of these products and those yet to come, out into the world) is searching for a quality specialist to ensure our customers receive products they love and will continue to use for a long time.
Reporting to our Production and Quality Assurance Manager, you'll be responsible for running our quality control and assurance process. You will inspect batches at different stages of manufacturing to identify quality issues and non-conformance, communicate these with our overseas manufacturers and internal product development team to mitigate potential issues while maintaining documentation to ensure consistency throughout the product life cycle. Things change quickly and you'll also be expected to improve processes and support our production team to develop and implement quality systems along the way.
Bring us your sharp eye for detail, passion for quality control and desire for continuous improvement. In return, we'll provide you with great products to work with, a learning environment and passionate people to bounce off.
**THERE ARE SOME QUALITIES YOU MUST POSSESS...**
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role in a product business (preferably in bags or accessories business)
- Hands-on experience in implementing and executing Quality and QMS processes with overseas suppliers
- Awareness of international practice in QC principles and process
- Exceptional time management and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel/Google sheet and reporting skills
- An uncanny ability to pick up potential issues or inconsistencies before they become a problem
- The desire to work collaboratively in a team within a fast-paced, agile environment
**IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, YOU MIGHT HAVE**
- Inspected pre-production samples and compared them against the Production & Quality Handbook, and identified quality issues that required improvements
- Communicated with our suppliers on a corrective action plan to fix a stitching issue
- Analyzed the quality evaluation data and provided insight into the mass production quality control and customer satisfaction
- Noticed a QC issue on a technology product and tweaked a process to allow for quicker identification of the issue next time
- Organized new products to be sent out from our HQ to the warehouse and followed up with our warehouse team to make sure they were processed in time for the new product launch
- Worked with our product developer to discuss potential issues in a new design
- Spoken with our photography and wholesale team to understand what samples you need to procure for them and when
- Checked the weekly return reports for common issues that need more investigation
**LOCATION AND HOURS**
This role is a full-time role based in our Collingwood office.
