**About the role**:
The **Gore Bay and White Bay Operations Manager** is responsible for leading the site based operations teams ensuring safe, compliant and efficient liquid fuel storage and distribution operations. This role reports to the NSW State Operations Manager who is member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team.

**Viva Energy’s Gore Bay (Greenwich, NSW) Terminal** is a 24 x 7 Port Facility that receives, stores and transports hydrocarbon fuels. The terminal supplies approximately 40% of NSW ground and aviation fuels and is the leading fuel supplier to Sydney Harbour’s maritime industry including the cruise industry and Defence Forces. **Viva Energy’s White Bay (Rozelle, NSW) Terminal** is Sydney’s leading commercial and recreational marine refuelling facility.

**Responsibilities**
- Identifies and develops talent within the 22-person team, committing to diversity and long term capability
- Champions personal and process safety mindset by cultivating a culture of learning. Takes ownership for improving outcomes in health and wellbeing, personal safety, process safety, security and environmental management
- Ensures regulatory “license to operate” obligations are fulfilled, manages operational hazards and risk, and ensures the integrity of the HSSE management system and processes
- Manages development and implementation of the site asset management plan, across capital and maintenance programs through close collaboration with engineering and contractors.
- Liaises and communicates as necessary with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders ranging from Commercial Sales and Supply Operations teams to regulators, government authorities, emergency services and the local community

**About you**:

- You will have a strong HSSE focus with experience or appetite to rapidly develop process safety expertise and demonstrated commitment to HSSE compliance and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated operational leadership ability and people management experience
- Interest or training in a technical domain and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders on project delivery
- Skilled in effective operational change management and implementation.
- Experience with dangerous goods and/or liquid fuel operations desirable.
