**Position Information**:
Greenacre Public School, is a large school with an enrolment of more than 760 students, including 98% students from a non-English speaking background. The school is located in the Bankstown area of Sydney and serves a multicultural community. It has 33 classes including three classes for students with special needs (one class for students with a mild intellectual disability and two classes for students with a moderate intellectual disability) and one class for those students who are academically gifted (a Years 5-6 opportunity class). The school has a small but very active group of parents and community members who engage in the Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C). The school receives equity funding and this funding is used to support programs and initiatives in literacy, numeracy and student engagement.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Arabic Community Language (K-6)
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs with an emphasis on student engagement
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team and build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
Skills and/or experience in contributing to cultural experiences across the school
