At Granville Public School we have an enrolment of approximately 650 students, including a preschool and seven special education classes. With 98% of our students having English as an additional language, our cultural richness is integral to our community and is respected and celebrated in all that we do. The main languages spoken at home are Arabic, Nepali, Dari, and Urdu. We also offer Arabic and Chinese community languages.
We are dedicated to fostering strong partnerships with families and the wider community, creating a supportive and inclusive culture where every student is valued. We have an energetic and committed P&C who works to support our school community. Our focus on evidence-based educational practices underpins our commitment to continuous improvement as we work towards enhancing the learning and wellbeing outcomes of students. A strong sense of belonging exists for students, staff and the community.
Selection CriteriaApproval to teach K-2, 3-6
Approval to teach Arabic - Community Language, with knowledge of the Modern Languages syllabus outcomes and Arabic language and culture.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents to support student outcomes and promote a positive school culture.
ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
