**Position Information**:
Villawood North Public School is located in Fairfield East, South Western Sydney and provides high quality education for a richly diverse community with 90% of students having a language background other than English. There are 245 students with 28 different language backgrounds represented in the student population with the larger groups being Arabic, Vietnamese, and Pacific Islander.
The school supports students from low socio-economic, English as a Second Language and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds. The school has a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and wellbeing implementing Positive Behaviour for Learning principles.
The school provides education inclusion with a three class Support Unit to meet the complex needs of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Support Unit works alongside the mainstream classes with a focus on integration within the school community.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Arabic Community Languages with demonstrated capacity to implement quality differentiated teaching and learning programs.
Exceptional classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment to support student well-being.
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and community.
