The GIANTS are on an exciting journey both on and off the field. With teams in the AFL, the AFL Women’s League and Super Netball competitions, the GIANTS truly are a club like no other.
On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.
Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.
The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
This role supports the Media and PR Manager to deliver on all media and communications operations across the AFL, AFLW and netball programs including media requests, leading the planning and organisation of media opportunities, broadcast requests and PR opportunities.
The Media Coordinator has a key role in proactively seeking media opportunities for the club outside of traditional football media as well as assisting with the production of media releases and announcements, EDM copy and approvals and internal communications.
This role is also responsible for the production of key club written communications.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist Media and PR Manager with media requests for AFL, AFLW and Netball
- PR opportunities:
- AFL/AFLW/Netball off-field

- EDM copy writing and approvals
- Article writing
- Administration and operations support
- Ad hoc tasks for the Media, Communications and Content team as required
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Skills & Knowledge**:
- One-to-two years’ experience in a similar or relevant role is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Writing and editing skills.
- Ability to write for a range of publications, reports, and creative pieces for both print and online audiences.
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Working knowledge of AFL/W and/or Netball.
