TEN Recruitment are working with a well known and reputable civil and mining contractor who specialise in mime construction projects. They are looking for an experienced and motivated HSE Manager to lead a team of HSE Advisors, manage the Health and Safety IMS to ensure legislative compliance, and oversee that work undertaken continues to exceed industry standards.

This is a permanent Monday - Friday role with a growing company centrally located in Perth. Ad hoc site visits are required. On offer is a competitive salary and the chance to join a successful company with a great culture.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Lead a team of HSE Advisors providing support and coaching as necessary
- Champion the company wide culture of safe work
- Develop, review, monitor and update HME Management plans providing reports as required
- Create and maintain the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures ensuring industry standards are met and legislative compliance achieved
- Auditing site facilities, processes, and contractors to facilitate continuous improvement
- Create and deliver training programs related to HSE matters, including delivering HSE related training on site
- Maintain training matrices for the various sites/ projects
- Report on HSE matters including KPI reports on a regular basis
- Maintain accurate safety records
- Proactively identifying any emerging issues and implement corrective activity
- Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend remediation or control measures
- Conduct audits and support external audits using reports to improve practices

Essential criteria:

- Minimum 5 years experience in Senior/ Management level Health and Safety roles in construction (ideally in mine construction projects)
- Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety
- Cert IV Training and Assessment
- Qualifications in Auditing, Injury Management and Drug & Alcohol testing
- Lead Investigator - ICAM and/or Taproot
- Minimum C class drivers licence
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
