HSE Manager

  • Significant leadership role on civil construction projects for a global construction and mining services contractor.
  • Lead a team of Advisors across health, safety, and environmental functions.
  • 2:1 FIFO rosters from Perth (east coast candidates considered) with attractive remuneration and an ongoing pipeline of works.

Harry Maxwell has been engaged to conduct an executive search for a health and safety leader passionate about engaging and enrolling others in positive safety behaviors.

As the HSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping operational outcomes for our health, safety & environmental teams across civil construction and engineering projects in WA.

About the Role:

  • Lead and mentor a capable team of Health, Safety & Environmental professionals, building strong site capability and collaboration.
  • Develop, maintain, and support compliance with the Project Health and Safety Management Plan and Environment Management Plan and sub-plans
  • Develop and facilitate the HSE risk management process and systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver CRAWS, SMWS, JHA, and Risk Assessments.
  • Assist, lead, and facilitate audits and reviews.
  • Facilitate and lead Incident Investigations.

Key Requirements:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Manager in Civils, Construction, Mining, or Engineering.
  • ICAM Certified or equivalent.
  • ISO Lead Auditor Certified or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop and implement HSE management systems
  • Proven experience in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews.
  • Strong contractor management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the relevant HSE legislation.
  • Current driver's license, national police clearance, and full rights to work.
