About the role:
Ensure implementation of IMS HSE management system within the country operations to maintain IMS certification and to ensure the effectiveness to achieve HSE objectives and targets.

Collaborating with management and the wider team to maintain high standards of HSE, comply with Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements, take care of one’s own health and safety and that of others in the workplace whilst following and maintaining Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality system requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accident/incident record for on-site and off-site accidents. Report off-site accident to HR and Finance department for fulfilling necessary legal and insurance formalities
- Participate in accident/incident investigation and reporting as necessary. Ensure effectiveness of corrective actions
- Advise/guide project management on selection, maintenance and inventory of personal protective equipment
- Ensure adequacy and readiness of first aid facilities and trained first aiders in the office
- Participate in assessment of subcontractors to ensure proper selection and compliance within the companies HSE rules and regulations by subcontractors on projects
- Study trend analysis from accidents/incidents, audit finding and advise management on areas of improvement
- Assist and participate in country/project/office Risk assessments and reviews
- Assist Project, Regional and Corporate HSE Manager as required

IMS Implementation
- Assist in the implementation of the company IMS HSE Management System within business unit operations
- Schedule and perform internal audits and carry out second party audits as per the schedule
- Ensure HSE inductions are carried out for all workers
- Effectively communicate all HSE documentation evolvement
- Issue and maintain HSE documentation within the country operations to meet the requirements of HSE standards
- Assist in the implementation of the HSE programs initiated by Regional and Corporate

Reporting
- Preparation and submission of monthly IMS report to Regional and Corporate HSE Manager
- Ensure HSE objectives are reported for the country with participation from Project HSE Manager and Regional HSE Manager
- Interface with all business units within the country to ensure HSE function is supportive to the business unit’s activities
- Circulate all new company policies within respective management to ensure communication down the line

About you:
**Qualifications**:

- Cert IV OHS - Diploma preferred
- 3 years related work experience
- HSE qualifications recognised locally or internationally e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, BSC, IOSH, Industrial Safety diploma governed by respective national/state government organisations

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of OHSAS: 45001 & ISO: 14001
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations, client policies and procedures (added advantage)
- Knowledge of internal/external auditing process (Lead/Internal Auditor - added advantage)
- Knowledge of technical processes in industry
- Computer literate - proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint etc.
- Investigation skills - root cause analysis
- Report writing, communication, analytical, presentation, inter-personal and conflict management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
