We use a professional program model and have local people take control of the program; this means Kelly Club programs best meet the needs of the local community.** **Our programs deliver a range of activities, as well as relaxation time around a busy life at school. Children are encouraged, educated and entertained during their time on our programs.** **The Role** **We have a very exciting and newly created opportunity due to growth, which will give you a chance to utilise your experience in management, to lead our 14 programs across Melbourne** **Your responsibilities will include**: - **Management and support of our team of Coordinators and Educators** - **Developing, planning and implementing educational programs for children** - **Ensuring all policies and procedures are in line with the Department of Education's guidelines** - **Ensuring all areas of the program are compliant with Department of Education, National Regulations and Kelly Club requirements** - **Maintaining a safe and engaging environment for children** **In addition to your Area Management responsibilities, you'll also have the opportunity to lead one of our core programs including program administration, rostering, supervising and assisting casual staff in running activities, food preparation and general cleaning.** **About You** **You are a suitably qualified education professional with a minimum 1 year of experience as a Centre Manager, Area Manager or role of similar responsibility. Alternatively, you have experience working in other community engagement programs in the not-for-profit space, and are ready to make a move to a similarly rewarding career within education.** **Most importantly, you are energetic, driven, ambitious and communicative. You love to engage with people from all walks of life and are driven to raise the education of our future leaders, the children.** **You are personable, enthusiastic and above all have the natural ability to engage with children, motivate them to join in our daily activities whilst ensuring their safety at all times. You have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, coupled with a first aid qualification and working with children check.** **Skills and Experience** - **Diploma / Bachelors qualified within Childhood or Education studies or other ACECQA recognised qualification** - **Valid Working with Children Check** - **Current First Aid HLTAID004, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management training** - **Current child protection training and strong knowledge of child safe standards** - **Exceptional verbal and written communication skills** - **Strong knowledge of National Regulations** - **Good understanding of My Time Our Place learning framework** - **Availability to work between 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday** **What's on offer to you?** **On offer is a chance to make a difference to the education of our future generations, in a fun, stimulating and educational manner.
