**The Role**
This is an exciting and dynamic position that will see the successful person influencing and shaping the contract and service delivery strategies of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Health Services Contract. The position plays a pivotal role in the management of the contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare), contract governance arrangements, the performance management framework and supply, demand and budget.
The position is ongoing and we will be creating a merit pool to fill similar positions that become available within the next 12 months.
Should your performance fall beyond requirements or the eligibility criteria not be met, your eligibility for the BDCP may be reviewed and ceased. It may also be ceased should you change positions or the requirement for the BDCP is no longer necessary, as determined by Defence. Should the BDCP be ceased you will be advised and your BDCP additional payment will cease.
**About our Team**
The ADF Health Service Contract Directorate is a high performing team, responsible for the oversight and management of the ADF Health Services Contract ensuring that the contract is fit for purpose now and throughout its life cycle. The team supports the Director to monitor and manage the contract management framework including administration and governance, performance and risk, the contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare) and supply, demand and budget.
The contracted health services (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Healthcare) include, Integrated Contracted Health Professional Workforce, 24 hour Medical Advice, Triage and Referral Service, Specialised Services, Imaging and Radiology, Pathology, and Occupational Rehabilitation Services.
As an EL 1 Contract Manager, you will be adept at managing the relationship with the Contractor and stakeholder requirements of Garrison Health Services with respect to the effective delivery of Health Services.
They would be experienced in designing and implementing mitigation strategies for the risks associated with the contract management activities, contractor performance and compliance with mandatory requirements and suggest relevant improvement initiatives.
They will have experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across all levels, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
They will also have experience in managing, developing and mentoring staff through performance appraisal and change, providing mentoring and training to assist in the development of the team.
