**Economic Division**
The Economic Division leads the development of advice to the Government, and implementation of priority projects, for key economic and policy priorities including economic strategy, regulatory reform, housing, social policy, government tax policy and intergovernmental financial relations. Together, these projects and priorities aim to drive improvements in Victoria's productive and efficient resource allocation, competitiveness and equity across the economy.
**Social Group**
This role in the Social Housing team within the Social Group in DTF's Economic Division which provides proactive economic, commercial and policy advice on government service delivery. The teams often see ideas through from policy development to implementation and delivery.
**About the role**
This is an ongoing, VPS 4 role working within the Social Housing team and contributing to the delivery of the Financing Social and Affordable Housing (FSAH) program. This program provides concessional finance to select community housing providers to boost the supply of social and affordable housing for vulnerable Victorians. Key Accountabilities include:
- Working independently and collaboratively in the team on complex economic, social, financial and/or public policy issues.
- Providing analysis on economic, social, financial and/or public policy issues to support the administration of the FSAH program and advice to Government more broadly.
- Undertaking project management activities to support the assessment and ongoing implementation of financing with borrowers.
- Leading on acquitting information requirements for borrowers accessing finance, including liaising with key stakeholders to facilitate loan transactions.
- Supporting the development of policy proposals and preparing timely, accurate and authoritative briefings on a wide range of economic, social, financial and policy issues for senior management and government.
- Contributing to quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to inform policy advice.
- Communicating and consulting in an effective and influential manner with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating on team-wide and whole of government projects where appropriate.
- Participating in planning and decision making to support the team.
- Supporting core government business, which may include preparing briefings, responding to correspondence, developing papers for ministerial or cabinet consideration, meeting papers and other documents as reasonably required.
