The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) is the peak representative and advocacy body for local government in Victoria and is seeking to appoint an economist.
The economist will support local government and the MAV by providing well-developed economic and financial policy analysis. Solid data collection and curation will be an essential component of the role, across a broad range of council services and community issues.
If you have a passion for the economic and financial analysis and policy issues affecting Victoria’s councils and communities, this role will broaden your experience and provide an opportunity to make a difference. You will have excellent research and analytical skills, the ability to present data in formats suitable for a variety of audiences and excellent communication and presentation skills.
The expected salary for this full-time position is between $95,000 - $105,000 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications.
