**The Opportunity**
We're on the lookout for a **Consultant**to join our **Heritage team** in our Brisbane office. Leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills, you'll support our clients by offering sound Historical and Aboriginal archeological and strategic advice and insights. As a trusted member of our Heritage team, you will be providing advice to clients on a range of projects including archaeological assessments, archaeologial management plans, conservation management plans, duty of care assessments and cultural heritage management plans.
**You will**:
- Provide practical advice on a strategic level on a range of archaeology projects that have historical and Aboriginal cultural heritage significance.
- Assist with the preparation of reports including heritage studies, due diligence assessments, management plans and impact assessments.
- Travel to locations for field work, including for surveys, stakeholder engagement and excavations.
- Respond quickly and communicate in a clear, concise and transparent manner to internal and external clients.
- Work alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, working to specification, to deadlines, within budget and with a commercial outcome.
- Promote the firm and its services to create business opportunities.
- Comply with all workplace health safety (WHS) and wellbeing (WHS) policies and procedures, reporting any identified hazards, near misses, injuries and incidents.
**About You**:
- Holds a tertiary qualification in Cultural Heritage, Archaeology, Anthropology or related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake historical research utilising multiple sources and methodologies to present accurate preliminary assessment of findings.
- Experience in engagement with First Nations groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commercial discipline and consistency through compliance with company policy and process and performance expectations.
- Challenges constructively and offers alternative thinking and ideas which add value to the outcome.
- Asks meaningful questions to clarify objectives of the client and contributes knowledge and ideas for the benefit of the team.
- Prioritises the competing demands of multiple assignments and/or projects within agreed timeframe.
- Brings a positive, encouraging attitude to own work and work relationships.
