**About the role**

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative early to mid-career heritage professional to join our growing Queensland Cultural Heritage Team. This role will involve working within a team-based delivery model undertaking a wide range of cultural heritage projects, including Aboriginal and historical heritage, within archaeological, built and landscape heritage contexts. Projects that you will work on will primarily be located throughout Queensland with potential to work on projects in many other parts of Australia.

**About you**

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who has:

- A degree in Cultural Heritage Management, Anthropology, Archaeology or other degree Umwelt considers relevant to the role
- Previous relevant cultural heritage industry experience (e.g., 3-5 years), preferably all in a consulting context, though mixed experience including in government heritage roles will be considered
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Queensland and Commonwealth heritage legislation, associated regulations and guidelines, especially the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 (QLD), and Queensland Heritage Act 1992 (QLD)
- Demonstrated experience in Aboriginal and historical cultural heritage management projects preferably in Queensland
- Demonstrated experience in the participation in the delivery cultural heritage field surveys, collating and analysing field survey results, artefact identification and site recording
- Demonstrated experience in desktop research and authoring or making substantial contributions to the preparation and completion of heritage reports
- A demonstrated ability to work effectively with other professional, community members, and stakeholders as part of a collaborative working environment to delivery high quality results
- Commitment to workplace health and safety requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- The ability to be a creative and innovative thinker
- Curiosity, resilience, and empathy
- An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
- A team player who is organised, shows initiative, and is motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Current Australian Drivers licence
