**Group Sustainability Manager**
Ravenswood Gold Pty Ltd is the owner and operator of Ravenswood Gold Mine, located approximately 130 km south-west of Townsville. Ravenswood Gold is a joint venture between EMR Capital and Golden Energy and Resources Limited.
The mine is a proven producing asset operating a large scale, low-cost open pit mine and major gold processing facility. Ravenswood Gold is currently completing a major expansion and redeveloping this long-life Queensland gold operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join the senior team.
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Group Sustainability Manager to join our Brisbane based Head Office Team. The role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and form part of the Ravenswood Gold Leadership team. This position will work closely with both on-site and external stakeholders. This is a demanding and rewarding position, well suited to a person who can work at a strategic organisational level but also roll up their sleeves and get things done on the ground.
As the Group Sustainability Manager, you will drive Ravenswood Gold’s sustainability efforts and delivery of our sustainability strategy and targets. You will have end-to-end responsibility for ensuring Ravenswood Gold’s ESG strategy, monitoring, reporting, and disclosure obligations are aligned to best practise corporate governance principles and support the overall business strategy.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**
- Implementation of corporate environment and social governance strategies to meet Company, Industry and Regulatory requirements
- Stakeholder engagement including State and local Government, Regulators, Traditional Owners, community members and industry groups
- Providing direct leadership and oversight to the on-site Environment, Approvals, and Community team
- Providing sustainability-related advice and recommendations to the leadership team
- Internal reporting of environment and social performance
**ABOUT YOU**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability, or other associated disciplines
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to act as an escalation point and provide guidance and direction on sustainability related work
- Passion for strong environmental and social performance
- Possession of a strong understanding of sustainability indices, reporting frameworks and metrics - desirable
- Previous experience in Mining or Resources Industry - desirable
- An ability to build trust, credibility, and influence with a range of stakeholder
- Background in environmental management - desirable
- Ability to travel to site approximately 1 week per a month or as operational needs required
- Results focused with a passion for achievement
