**Job Description**:
**Pedestrian Group** is seeking a talented and knowledgeable Reporter to join the team behind The Chainsaw, Australia’s first Web3-focused publication.

Reporting to the Head of Editorial, the Reporter will keep our community up to date on the social transformation that digital currencies and future tech is bringing, producing unbiased news, in-depth analysis, insightful opinion pieces and long-form investigations.

**The Reporter will be required to**:

- Write multiple editorial posts per day
- Pitch, research, and produce varied forms of content, including long-form journalistic investigations and short-form guides
- Analyse and assess on-chain and traditional markets data to identify trends on which we can provide thoughtful commentary
- Stay up to date with a fast-moving space, and be fully immersed in the world of Web3 and cryptocurrency
- Conduct in-depth interviews with founders, creatives, and key thought leaders
- Engage with our community across multiple social touchpoints, including Discord, Twitter, LinkedIn and more
- Follow best practices for SEO and social optimisation

This role is based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

**Qualifications**:
**The position calls for someone with**:

- Deep knowledge of, and experience within, blockchain technology, with an emphasis on cryptocurrency and how it intersects with everything from culture to business
- A genuine and sustained passion for technology and the future of the industry
- The ability to sort fact from fiction, calling on both primary and secondary sources
- An understanding of the financial regulatory environment in Australia
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrable journalism experience, preferably within the business or tech beats
- Enthusiasm for experimenting with new ways of storytelling (while the role is primarily text-based, experience doing on-camera work is a bonus)
- A keen understanding of journalistic ethics

**Benefits**:
As a Pedestrian Group employee, you will enjoy perks like company events, wellness programs, career development courses, and work-life balance. But most importantly, you’ll work alongside inspiring colleagues who will encourage you to be your best self.

- Career Development - We provide our staff opportunities for personal and professional growth. Be that through our monthly guest speaker series PEDTALKS, online learning platforms, or in-person workshops.
- Social Events and Team Bonding - Pedestrian Group offers a variety of opportunities to bond with the team, from team lunches, team activities, company-wide summits or just an ordinary BBQ with a DJ and a cheeky marg station. We work hard & party harder
