We offer a premium service with around eighty yoga classes weekly across our two studios and a thoughtfully curated calendar of popular events and workshops. We are known for our attention to detail and exceptional guest experience. Good Vibes Yoga is female-led and LGBT-friendly. We're a growing company with a team of around twenty-five unique individuals.
About The Role
This is the primary management role at Good Vibes Yoga, where you will be responsible for driving our next chapter of growth alongside our founder. As General Manager, you will oversee business development, budgets, hiring, operations and marketing strategy. You will be the leader of our operations team, taking ownership of training and development and cultivating an environment of efficiency and excellence.
One of the main initiatives of this role is to remove the founder from operations so they can focus on the vision and creative direction. You will be in charge of building and improving the processes and infrastructure required to allow Good Vibes Yoga to continue to expand, seamlessly maintaining our excellent reputation.

You will be based in our Collingwood HQ, with regular visits to our studios in Collingwood and Northcote required.
About You
We're looking for a unique combination of human-first leadership with smart business sense. As an operator, you're a brilliant blend of people, processes, and productivity. You have a minimum of 3 years experience in a management role, with a proven track record that showcases your understanding of business practices and high-level knowledge of operations management. You have excellent communication skills and thrive at leading a positive-minded team. You consider yourself highly organised and are confident in taking ownership of planning and budgeting. You may have experience in sales and marketing or a natural flair for understanding conscious consumers. A background in health and wellness is not required: you may be someone wanting to move away from the corporate world and into a company that aligns with a personal passion.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Define and implement operations strategy, structure and processes
- Manage business partnerships
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance, tracking KPI's and providing detailed reports, including budgeting
- Assist with marketing strategy and execution, driving lead acquisition and retention
- Assist with financial processes (payroll support and invoicing)
- Recruit, onboard, support and manage our team, including rostering, regular check-ins and conflict resolution
- Manage and create company policies and procedural strategies and communicate these to employees to ensure our team aligns with our values and goals
- Schedule and lead team meetings and training and development, and provide structured mentoring sessions
- Participate in strategy sessions with the founder around future events, workshops, classes and new streams of revenue
- Lead and manage the events process - initiating partnerships, liaising with stakeholders, and coordinating all details
- Plan and coordinate annual Yoga Teacher Trainings
- Project manage marketing campaigns and updates to back-end software, delegating appropriately
- Be the first point of contact for our yoga teachers
