How you will make an impact

Cabrini's Health Information Services team is seeking a reliable clerical staff member to work on a full time basis at Cabrini Malvern and Cabrini Brighton as required. The role is responsible for retrieving and delivering medical records to various hospital departments as well as filing of records in our main department and secondary storage areas. The role also includes customer service; filing of documents; and other general clerical duties. The department is busy and requires a person with speed, efficiency and accuracy. The position is somewhat physical in nature and requires a person who has the physical capability to manage the pulling and transporting of multiple records without injury.

This is a full time 76 hour fortnight position involving weekday, afternoon, weekend shifts and occasional public holidays. The position is part of a rotating roster working 9 shifts per fortnight.

Shifts are 8 or 9 hours in duration.

Rostered shifts are from:
07:00 - 15:30 or 07:00 - 16:30 (weekdays)

12:00 - 20:00 or 13:24 - 21:30 (afternoon shifts)

07:00 - 15:30, 08:24 - 16:30 or 08:00 - 16:30 (weekends and public holidays).

What you will bring to the role

Along with dedication to your work and a positive attitude you will have:
- Sound clerical and filing skills- Good numeracy skills- Excellent communication and customer service skills- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to be flexible when needed- Ability to maintain privacy with sensitive information- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as autonomously- Previous experience with medical records, Health Information or exposure to medical terminology (desirable)
