**Job Description**:
**About the Role**

As part of our Operations Control team, you will be part of a team responsible for our 24 hour per day, 7 days per week monitoring and responding to operational and safety related activities across the Group. In doing so you will be ensuring there is clear visibility of operational and safety critical events across the business. The scope includes fielding of all inbound operational communication and managing reported events in-line with established business protocols and procedures. This includes routing of calls, monitoring of all movements against plan, taking proactive countermeasures and reporting on execution.

This must be done in line with ensuring the focus areas and activities of the business unit are holistically carried out in line with our Group strategy. Furthermore, the values and our strategy must be enabled through ensuring a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus and operational excellence is in place.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Contribute to DIFOT performance by monitoring trip departure to arrivals occur in accordance with operational plans
- Respond to critical safety events in line with established business protocols
- In the event of operational disruption, coordinate with nominated business and operational leaders to achieve best possible outcomes in terms of customer service, reliability and cost
- Monitoring performance of vehicles against plan and where deviance occurs to pro-actively help develop an alternative plan that is cost and service effective

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications & Capabilities**
- Strong advanced Level MS Office experience an adaptable to new technology
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and provide solutions for on-road issues
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage fluctuating workloads and changing priorities
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and self-organise in a fast-moving environment
- Relevant experience in transport or similar will be well regarded

- Experience analysing reports and data to identify insights, and provide recommendations
- Previous experience in a an analytical or relevant operational role
- Excellent written and verbal Communication skills
- Ability to present data and analysis in a user-friendly format
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
- Commitment to provide a high-quality service to the business
- A Fleet Management or Transport & Logistics background is preferable but not essential
