About the role
In the role of Advisor (Land Transaction) in the Compensation and Conveyancing team, Land Transaction Services (LTS), you will provide specialist advice to stakeholders and undertake key tasks for the legislative processes, departmental procedures and business considerations required for lawful and timely acquisition of land required for transport infrastructure projects.
The role will include but not limited to;
- Provide information and advice to the Principal Advisor (Land Transaction) in relation to legislation, departmental policy, procedures and processes relating to Land Transaction issues to ensure the Property Acquisitions and Disposals Unit (PAD) complies with all legal requirements.
- Provide information and advice to the Principal Advisor (Land Transaction) in relation to the Government's Land Management System, the Department's Asset Register, property systems and data bases, and ensure that the property systems are maintained and accurate.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders (both internal and external to the department).
- Research and prepare reports, briefing notes and general correspondence on a broad range of Land Transaction issues.
