**How will I help?**

As a Senior Manager you will be joining the Business Lending Operations (BLO) team, within the Group operations in Westpac. You’ll lead the implementing and managing of risk management and monitoring obligations in Group Operations, supporting consistent implementation and embedding of risk management framework, policies and controls.

This role is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders on all matters risk and control, responsible for implementation of solutions to risk and control problems and supporting a strong risk culture that embodies the organisation’s ethics and integrity whilst balancing commercial and customer needs.

**Responsibilities are but limited to**:

- Managing a small team to ensure key deliverables are met on a timely basis.
- Ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group.
- Providing risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
- Supporting the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness and ownership of risk throughout the business.
- Delivering support to the Line of Business (LOB) in developing their risk profile, including defining and operationalising relevant RAS metrics, in line with risk appetite.
- Partnering with LOB to support uplift and day to day management of Value Chains.
- Providing risk advice in the assessment, root cause analysis and remediation of incidents.
- Providing input to regulatory requests, remediation, and support the delivery of remediation programs.
- Advancing input into the quality of JUNO records and updates to drive a risk focussed culture.
- Presenting input into various change initiatives and oversee the sign off of RCM’s for any change with business impact Building and maintaining effective working relationships with 2nd Line Risk, Compliance and Assurance Managers along with the broader business teams.

**What do I need?**

To be successful in this role, you will need 5-10 years’ of experience in the Risk sector including demonstrated knowledge in risk management, risk assessment and banking/financial services. You will have professionalism with quality assurance, including exposure in risk compliance, Australian banking compliance and regulatory awareness. With a proactive and self-motivated personality, you will be someone who enjoys the challenges of adaptability in a dynamic market with the ability to think strategically and be innovative. With a track record of strong rapport building at all levels of stakeholders, you will combine you commercial acumen with the ability to communicate complex messages, simply.
