**The Role**
The **Business Support Manager **is accountable for leading the team to deliver key commercial programs within store operations. The commercial programs aim to future-proof the business whilst focusing on continuous business improvement by making processes and systems simpler for stores. The role plays a pivotal part in metro next gen evolution to contribute to Metro’s long term commercial sustainability.
- Input into the creation of the quarterly plans outlined in the QBR memo
- Collaborate with senior leaders on initiatives from supermarket leadership team and metro leadership team
- Visit stores and work with operations to ensure initiatives and roll out of projects are going to achieve the commercial and team outcomes set
- Lead a team of Project Managers to deliver sustainable change in stores aligned to the QBR Memo.
- Lead the team that delivers availability, compliance and stock loss initiatives to stores, including
- Supply Chain Partner to ensure seamless supply of stock to stores
- Compliance administrators to ensure metro stores are compliant with cash management, risk and finance policy and processes
- Stock Loss Partner to reduce stock loss costs and empower store leaders to proactively manage
- Partner with Department Trainers to manage training calendar for store and roll out new training programs to support project initiatives

**Requirements**:

- Previous Retail Operations experience
- Previous Project Management experience
- Previous experience leading large teams
- Previous multi site management experience
- Previous experience coaching, mentoring and facilitating effective training sessions.
- Ability to influence cross functional stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
- Strong financial acumen
- Work to project plans by leading a team to deliver to set timeframes
