Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers a wide range of Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures through our various facilities/services with a goal to help diagnose, assess, and treat patient's injury or disease.

An opportunity has become available for qualified Health Manager to join the Medical Imaging team The Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine/PET service encompasses Diagnostic Imaging at Nepean, Blue Mountains and Lithgow Hospitals, Interventional Radiology at Nepean and Lithgow Hospitals, and Nuclear Medicine/PET at Nepean Hospital.

Your role as the General Manager has overall accountability for strategic, operational and financial management of the service, and works to support NBMLHD’s achievement of performance targets and other accountabilities as per the annual service level agreement with the Ministry of Health.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in a health or finance management related field, and/or substantial proven management experience at a senior level in a Medical Imaging or public health environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in a senior managerial role within a performance management & accountability framework that enables managers to meet service delivery targets, financial, corporate and workforce responsibilities, and the provision of safe, high quality services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate and develop high performing teams in a complex multi-disciplinary organisation in a climate of continuous change, increasing effectiveness and accountability.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including effective consultation and negotiation skills to resolve complex matters with stakeholders including health professionals, local community, colleagues, government and non-government agencies and staff.
- Proven team player who builds strong inclusive relationships at all levels of the organisation and collaboratively empowers others. Will be resilient, agile and adaptive with perseverance and tolerance of ambiguity.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to lead significant change programs and to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in financial management, contract management with an ability to lead financial recovery plans and achieve financial performance targets.
- As this is a District wide role, the ability to travel to all parts of the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District and work at various sites is essential.
