Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. A Permanent Full time opportunity is now available for a Technical Assistant Grade 2 to provide support and assistance to the Medical Imaging team in the delivery of health care services to clients and patients, located at Nepean Hospital.

This position will see you provide safe and efficient transportation and movement of clients and patients to and from Medical Imaging, respond to and report observations of concern about client and patient health status or behaviour (e.g. anxiety, aggression, deterioration), undertake tasks that compliment patient care e.g. obtain ancillary equipment, deliver patient specimens, deliver patient contrast and documentation and assist in the preparation of patients for imaging examinations.

Working in the Medical Imaging Department will allow you to meet the needs of staff, patients and their families whilst working in a diverse team demonstrating CORE values whilst providing exceptional person-centered care.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Experience working in a hospital /health environment.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills with an ability to interact with both staff and patients.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and effectively manage time.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of patient care and an ability to respond appropriately in situations where patients may require assistance or support.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control procedures.
- Demonstrated understanding of manual handling risks and their controls.
