We’re looking for a proactive Purchasing Officer to help drive company productivity by securing competitive pricing and ensuring timely delivery of essential items. Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to meet production targets and exceed customer expectations.

**Key aspects of the role include**:

- Direct purchasing and expediting of products, services and raw materials
- Ensure a high standard of Supplier/Customer service is maintained
- Provide accurate data to accounting department for all purchasing
- Respond to enquiries from project managers, engineers, supervisors and leading hands
- Participate in Procurement activities and projects

**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**

Your strong customer service skills and ability to seek ways of adding value to our business will be complemented with the following:

- Enrolling in Cert IV or Diploma in Purchasing (desirable)
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a great attitude
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Previous experience in stores/logistics role
