**The Opportunity**

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced **Sharps Safety & Clinical Engagement Lead** to join our team on a part-time basis. This unique role blends clinical insight with business development and customer engagement. It would suit someone with a background in nursing, infection prevention, healthcare sales, procurement or clinical waste services.

You’ll work alongside our sales, operations and marketing teams to engage a wide range of healthcare settings that use sharps, helping improve safety, sustainability and compliance. These include general practices, private and public clinics, day surgeries, hospitals, aged care facilities, pathology providers, allied health services, and local councils involved in community sharps disposal. The role also includes working with suppliers and distributors who sell into the healthcare sector.

There is opportunity for this role to grow over time into a national educator or senior business development role, depending on your interests and the business’s evolution.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Clinical Engagement & Business Development**

Join customer meetings to present the clinical and safety benefits of Sharpsafe products
- Help identify, acquire and onboard new accounts across all settings where sharps are used — including healthcare providers (GPs, hospitals, aged care, pathology, community health) and suppliers who sell into the sector
- Support tenders, procurement conversations and product evaluations
- Assist with clinical trials, transition planning and account implementation

**Education & Clinical Advocacy**

Deliver training sessions on sharps safety and best practice waste management tailored to diverse healthcare environments
- Help develop clinical case studies, educational content and resources that support engagement and decision-making

**Account Management & Customer Support**

Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, procurement teams, infection control leaders and waste providers
- Provide ongoing support to existing accounts, including refresher training and insights from end users

**Internal Capability Building**

Provide the internal team with insight into clinical workflows, infection prevention standards and healthcare regulations
- Help inform strategy and ensure alignment with real-world clinical and procurement needs

**Who We’re Looking For**

✔ A Registered Nurse, Infection Control Practitioner, Clinical Educator, or someone with experience in healthcare business development, procurement or clinical waste management
✔ Strong knowledge of sharps safety, clinical protocols and regulatory requirements across diverse settings
✔ Skilled communicator and relationship-builder, comfortable with both clinical and commercial discussions
✔ Proactive, collaborative and passionate about improving safety and sustainability in healthcare
✔ Available 2-3 days per week (flexible), with occasional travel for site visits and education sessions

Pay: $210.99 - $580.46 per day

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
