**About the Role**
As Benefits realisation Manager you will be accountable for working with our Manager of Portfolio Finance & Benefits to continue to uplift BOQ's benefits management and realisation maturity. You will oversee and advise on the return on investment of project and portfolio spend throughout the Benefits Management Lifecycle (Identify/Plan/Realise/Report). Ensuring identified benefits are attributable, quantifiable, and measurable for both financial and non-financial outcomes.
In this role you play a significant part to BOQ's overall Return on Invested Capital through robust process management, education, and influencing and reviewing of project benefit outcomes.
The role is accountable for Benefit reporting, analysis and advice. This input supports business decision making around individual projects and is a key contributor to the strategic direction of the investment portfolio which forms part of BOQ’s multi-year strategic planning.
Strong communication skills are required as the role will act as a partner to Senior members of the business, providing support and advise from a benefits perspective in business case development and documentation.
Key deliverables include Governance and review of benefit outcomes for forum evaluation and supporting the approval process for business cases which justify the capital investment and articulate the resultant benefit outcomes. Bringing together stakeholder management, framework development and commercial acumen to challenge benefits and ensure the appropriate return on investment is being promised and delivered.
The Benefits Realisation Manager will play a significant part in uplifting BOQ's benefits management and realisation maturity through robust process management and embedding of processes.
The role will also own, manage, and mature the BOQ Benefit Realisation Framework and associated processes.
**About you**
**Work Experience**
- Minimum 5 years in project delivery and/or project finance roles
- Experience in benefits realisation management
- Business/Finance qualification beneficial
- Experience working within the banking and financial industry is beneficial
**Knowledge and Competencies**
- Strong knowledge and understanding of implementing and maturing a Benefits Realisation Framework and associated processes and tools
- Strong understanding of Project Finance and the Project Life cycle
- Strong Problem Solving skills
- Well-developed communication skills
- Ability to translate complex information into insights that are easily understood
- Intermediate level Excel and Word skills
- Proven team player
- Forward thinking, inquisitive and strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong relationship management skills and a customer-centric outlook
- Strong influencing skills, whilst having the ability to negotiate and be open to change within a project environment
