**Reliable Pick/Packer Needed**
We are a local, family-run business in the automotive/exhaust business, located at Somersby and are looking for a casual (with potential to increase to part/full time) employee to help in a fast-paced warehouse, pick/packing orders and answering phones/doing office admin.
The position is for 3-5 days through the week.
Having a split job description, means we are really looking for the right person here.
- > We need someone who is able to confidently answer phone queries and competently take orders for customers (if you’re not familiar with the industry, we understand it may take a little while to become confident with parts and part numbers, however we have simplified the categorisation on our end to help make this a smooth and fast transition).
- We regularly update products on our website, and these listings need pictures and images refreshed and replaced at fairly regular intervals. You will need to display competent skill in using computer programs, a willingness to learn, and good attention to detail in order to do this.
- Additionally, you will need to be able to jump in and help the team with pick/packing orders whenever needed. Most of our parts are lightweight and easy to pick up, however when combining for orders, they can quite easily total 25kg+ - to this end, the person who is most suited for the job needs to be able to confidently lift packages of that weight.
**MUST HAVE**:
**Strong work ethic** - we have a strict 2 warning policy in place. NO PHONES on your shift. Phones will need to be left in your car, or in the office. They have proven to be too much of a distraction in a work environment.
- **Ability to think on your feet** - in any fast-paced environment, there will be times when you will need to take initiative and move onto a new task, without being told. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to self-motivate.
- **Team spirit**:
- our business relies on each employee being able to operate individually, and when necessary, as a team. Whomever is recruited will need to have a positive attitude toward being a team player.
- **Punctuality** - this is a big one for us. The position is for 3-5 days a week, and we require punctuality for all days.
- **The right attitude** - we are a small family-run business. We will not tolerate a poor attitude in any employee, it makes for a bad working environment for all involved.
