**Key responsibilities**
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
- Answer incoming calls, address inquiries from both patients and their families.
- Manage patient data and medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Assist with general office administration tasks as required.
- Comply with all privacy regulations and policies.
- Ensuring effective management of all patient admissions and discharges in the inpatient management system.
- Providing administration support to the nursing staff.

**Knowledge, skills and attributes**:

- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, ideally in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated commitment and provision of exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency with office software and booking system and experience of electronic inpatient management systems such as WebPAS and EMR (experience with any medical software is an advantage).
- A professional, compassionate, and friendly demeanour.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy laws.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Good communication skills and could liaise with Bookings and Admission, as well as Theatre reception.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team
- A proven professional phone manner.
